Regional Dinner: A Night in Sicily
Thursday, August 18, 2016 | 6:30PM
$175 (Inclusive of hospitality)
Limited to 18 guests
Optional Wine Pairing $90.00
We welcome you to experience a night at Vetri Cucina celebrating Sicily, a region that is by far a standout in Italy for its gastronomic traditions.
The exuberance and warmth of the island is evident in its cuisine, which tells of Sicilians' passion and care for good food and genuine flavors. With cooking traditions originating from the Greeks, Arabs and Normans blended with those from Spain and North Africa, the result is a fabulous melting pot of flavors and unique dishes. The rolling hillside and fertile plains produce seemingly unlimited quantities of fresh fruit, nuts and vegetables, while abundant flocks and herds produce delicious cheeses and meats. Surrounded by the Tyrrhenian, Mediterranean and Ionian Seas, the island offers some of the best fishing in the world, filling the market stalls with an enormous range of marine delicacies.
Join us for an adventure into the food and culture of Sicily. The night will begin with a welcome reception and will continue with a menu crafted by our Chef de Cusine, Joey DeLago. Included in the ticket price is all food, tax, and hospitality. An optional pairing featuring the wines of Sicily will be available for $90.
