Pizza al taglio, or “by the slice”, is a classic style of pizza in Italy. It is baked on sheet pans, cut into squares and usually sold by weight. When pizza al taglio was first introduced, the ingredients were often sub-par and it was considered fast food. In the last 10-15 years,pizza al taglio has garnered interest from a new set of pizzaioli who are committed to using the best ingredients they can find.
The Vetri Family's very own Chef Brad Spence became obsessed with these pies and went to Rome to study with the best. Over the course of this class, you will learn the trade secrets garnered by Chef Brad as he recounts the stories and lessons of his time studying in Rome. . Join him for a demonstration class and a feast of this emblematic dish. House wines will be available throughout the course of the evening.
