Meat & Wine: These are a few of our favorite things. Help us celebrate an inspiring family's mastery of both when we welcome Dan Madrigale, owner and head butcher of Madrigale Meats, and nephew Michael, Head Sommelier for Bar Boulud/Epicerie Boulud/Boulud Sud, NYC.

This powerhouse culinary family will be bringing a whole lamb to Vetri Cucina on December 7th, demonstrating some butchery essentials to know when dressing whole animals, and allowing our culinary team to create a multi-course feast from the cuts provided.

Dan will provide stories of their Buck's County Butcher store, a family business since 1946, as well as tips on how to make the most of each cut, how to source the best, and why maintaining a relationship with your butcher is important.

Prodigal nephew Michael returns to Philly to maƮtre d' this memorable affair. After moving to Burgundy on a whim in the early 2000s and working with some of the great domaines there, Michael has carved a name for himself as one of the nation's leading wine personalities. The wine programs he runs for Daniel Boulud's Dinex restaurant group have garnered widespread critical acclaim, and he himself has been lauded as Sommelier of the Year by both Wine Enthusiast and Food & Wine Magazine. He is also pretty legendary on Twitter. Through it all, he has remained a man of the people, and is excited to return home to work alongside his family and share tastes of some of his favorite meat wines.
