Cocktail Class with Phoebe Esmon & Christian Gaal of Bar Emmanuelle
Tuesday, September 15, 2015 | 6:30PM
$115 per person plus tax
Limited to 12 guests
Bar Emmanuelle is known among Philadelphia's cocktail lovers as one of the premier cocktail destinations in the city. The vast beverage menu features obscure retro gems alongside classics and modern creations. Since 2012, bartenders Phoebe Esmon and Christian Gaal have been attracting in-the-know visitors to this candle-lit hideaway on the strength of their reputation as masters of the cocktail.
The recipes at Bar Emmanuelle pair artisanal spirits with fresh juices, fortified wines, bittersweet liqueurs, house-made syrups, shrubs, preserves, bitters & tinctures, and various formats of hand-processed block ice. The bar is a natural outgrowth of the craft bartenders' respect for the passions and technical traditions of the brewery, winery, distillery, and bar.
For one night in Vetri Cucina, Phoebe and Christian will break down the finer points of cocktail making including choice of spirit and additions, mixing methods, chilling, and serving drinks. Guests will enjoy signature cocktails while learning how to make them at home. A light dinner by Vetri Cucina Chef Matt Buehler will be served alongside the cocktail selections and is included in the price of admission.
