Bread: the basics & beyond

Wednesday, August 23, 2023  |  6:30PM
$275 Dinner and house wine provided
Limited to 10 guests

Picture this: you've finished your amuse bouche, your hand is extended for a sip of your choice beverage, the kitchen door swings open, and out comes the famed foccacia and star sourdough. It's coming for your table, you're elated. A few days pass and you're still thinking about the bread course from Vetri Cucina. How do they get the perfect crispy crust? Where do the bubbles come from? You have so many questions!

Insert Bread: the basics & beyond with Pastry Chef Michal Shelkowitz. In this baking class, Michal will walk guests through bread basics such as mixing, proofing, and shaping loaves. Michal will share how a home baker can emulate that restaurant-quality crustiness.

Participants will receive a portion of the sourdough starter along with feeding instructions.
