Foie Gras Dinner with Ariane Daguin of D’Artagnan

$295 Includes wine pairing and hospitality fee
Limited to 18 guests
Ariane Daguin was born into a world of great food! The daughter of Michelin star chef, Andre Daguin, Ariane grew up in Gascony, in southwest France, and was an expert at deboning ducks, rendering duck fat, preparing terrines and cooking the game birds her grandfather hunted by the time she was ten years old.
After pursuing an academic degree at Columbia University, Ariane began working for a New York pate producer - and the opportunity to market the first domestically produced foie gras presented itself to her. She and a co-worker launched D'Artagnan in 1985.
D'Artagnan was the first purveyor of game and foie gras in the United States, and it has been at the forefront of the organic movement in America, pioneering free-range and humanely raised meats. It has grown to source and supply natural and organic poultry, meat and game, foie gras, pates, sausages, smoked delicacies, truffles and wild mushrooms to restaurants and retailers across the nation.
Working exclusively with small farms, cooperatives and family-run ranches, D'Artagnan ensures that all of their partners exceed the highest industry standards for humane and sustainable farming practices. Their philosophy is to give animals the best diet and quality of life in order to produce the finest products on the market - this commitment to quality is the reason that they've partnered with the best restaurants in the country for 35 years.
Ariane acquired her partner's share of the company in 2005, becoming the sole owner, and in 2010 she published D'Artagnan a New York, a French-language memoir about how she created her business in the United States.
