When the 25th anniversary came around in September, Marc Vetri spent time reminiscing and storytelling about his days in Italy. A period of time that heavily influenced the restaurant we all know and love.
One restaurant stood out as the true foundation for Vetri Cucina. It's a place nestled right outside of Bergamo, called Osteria della Brughiera. Marc truly lights up when he speaks about his time there. You name it, he fell in love with it—the atmosphere, the decor, the simplicity of the menu items—so much so that he wanted to bring it back to the States.
When you walk through the doors of Vetri Cucina, you are transported to a version of Osteria della Brughiera. The warm earth tones of the walls, the wood accents throughout, the simple florals to the unique glass and ceramic accents. It's no wonder why Marc felt compelled to echo their establishment, or why this place has earned a Michelin star. Take a peek for yourself here.
We are bursting with excitement to announce that for the first time, Marc Vetri will collaborate with Stefano Arrigoni and Stefano Gelmi, owner and chef of Osteria della Brughiera, at Vetri Cucina. The night will begin with a cocktail reception in our main dining room (much like Osteria della Brughiera would start in La Cantina). Once you've been romanced with Franciacorta and hors d'oeuvres, you'll be escorted to the second floor for the main event. Marc and Stefano will both play a hand in the menu, taking turns to prepare your dishes. Expect antipasti, pasta, pesce, secondo, and a sweet ending to the meal.
